THE REGION DIFFERENCE OF RELATION BETWEEN POPULATION AND GRAIN AND FOOD SECURITY IN CHINA
通过构建粮食需求与供给比指数，分析了1949-2007年中国县域和省域尺度上人口与粮食关系的时空动态，发现粮食生产虽改善但低水平平衡，且主产区供给能力不稳定。
With the increase of population,food security has been attracted great attention worldwide.From the point of man-grain relationship,by setting up the grain demand and provide ratio index(DPR) and the classify standard,this paper firstly analyzes the spatial-temporal dynamic patterns of relation between population and grain of China between 1949 and 2007 at county,province scales.The result shows that: ①from 1949 to 2007,with the increase of grain production,the relation between population and grain of China has been improved conspicuously,but for the rapid population growth,it still only balances with the low level grain consumption;② over the last 25 years(1980—2005),the number of grain deficit province decreased and the population-grain relationship has been bettered gradually,but there were still more grain deficit provinces than surplus provinces in China and the providing ability of main food produce provinces isn’t stable;③over the last 15 years(1990— 2005) yield increasing is important for main producing area to provide food surplus and planting area decreasing bring pressure for main producing area to provide food surplus;the key of providing more food for main producing food provinces is increasing yield on the basic of steady plant area.
