INTERACTION BETWEEN POPULATION DISTRIBUTION AND DEPARTMENT STORES DISTRIBUTION AT THE BEGINNING OF THE BEIJING CITY'S SUBURBANIZATION
研究了1991-2000年北京郊区化初期人口重心与百货商店重心的移动方向一致，但商店重心移动滞后约两年，说明人口城市化对百货商店郊区化有正向影响，对规划者和投资者有参考价值。
Beijing is beginning at its suburbanization. Using of Walk's population gravity center and Lorance curve, the artical describes the changes of the population distribution in Beijing city from 1991 to 2000, and then describes the distribution of the department stores by recurring to the formulation of gravity center. The result shows, in the course of Beijing city's transition from the gathering-type centripetally to scattering-type centrifugally, the shift direction of the department stores gravity center is accordant to that of the population gravity center. But its shifting speed lags about two years. This explains that population urbanization has a positive influence to the suburbanization of department stores distribution. The conclusion could guide the urban planners and department store enterprises or investors to grasp right opportunity to enter the market at the periphery of Beijing.
