Investigating on the Pearl River Delta Greenway Network

The province of Guangdong initiated its construction of Pearl River Delta Greenway Network(PRDGN) in January 2010.About two years later,PRDGN has showed great effects that are warmly appreciated by the public.With increasing numbers of provinces and cities that are taking steps to make their own greenway network plans,this paper tries to answer these questions based on investigation: What is greenway network? Why has Guangdong devoted itself in planning greenway network? How did it build the network? What experiences and enlightenments has it achieved? By clarifying these issues,the paper will definitely be helpful to provide references for the practices of other places.
