Theoretical Thinking on Urbanization and Sustainable Urbanization
分析了中国快速城市化面临的挑战，从结构、过程和功能角度探讨城市生态系统，提出可持续城市化的内涵是控制人均生态足迹增长、提高居民福利和改善城市代谢效率。
The healthy development of urbanization is challenged by rapid urbanization in China.The attributes of urban ecosystem is analyzed on structure,process and function.With the discussion of the concept of urbanization and its both positive and negative effects,it is argued that for the sake of achieving sustainable urbanization,the rational structure,efficient process and complete function of urban ecosystem should be assured.Then the connotation of sustainable urbanization is proposed as follows:to control the growth of per capita ecological footprint,to enhance the welfare of urban resident,and to improve the efficiency of urban metabolism during the process of urbanization.
