The Transition of National-Level Development Zones in View of Factors Succession

With the deepening of the Development Zone construction and the change of the economic situations, the National- level Development Zone is confronting the strategic choice. This thesis analyzed the driving factors of 43National-level Development Zones in the 2000 s via panel data. The essay indicated that extroversion economy is still the main driving force of Development Zone as well as fixed- asset investment whose importance is steadily declining. The labor intensity and land area have little influence; nevertheless, location and administrative level have significant influence. Additionally, some suggestion were proposed like strengthening the extroversive function, implementing talent strategy and applying classification guidance in order to promote the transformation of Development Zone.
