THE EVOLUTION OF THREE INDUSTRIES OF THE PEARL RIVER DELTA AND THE TRANSFORMATION OF GUANGZHOU'S REGIONAL ROLE

Since economy reform and open - door policy of China, on the Pearl River Delta, the regional economy develops rapidly, urbanization process is fast, and the whole economy strength obviously enhances. In this courses, it is inevitably that each county and city of PRD occurs change in many aspects; economy strength, industrial structure and the regional roles and so on. This paper firstly investigates the structural evolution of the three industries of PRD as a whole. Then through classified and assorted all the counties and cities of PRD separately according to the industrial structure and economy strength in three periods of time, this paper opens out the developmental diversity of the counties and cities of PRD in space - time on the macro view. Upon this basis, this paper makes an analysis for Guangzhou city on the regional roles dynamic transformation.
