DEMONSTRATION ANALYSIS ON THE SPATIAL-TEMPORAL EVOLUTION OF THE REGIONAL ECONOMY USING BY EOF:A CASE STUDY OF THE COUNTY ECONOMIC IN HENAN PROVINCE
尝试将气象学中的EOF方法用于分析河南省县域人均GDP数据，揭示区域经济差异的时空结构及其随时间的变化特征，相比传统方法有明显优势。
To analyze the spatial-temporal evolution of regional economic disparities,this paper first attempts the EOF method which is widdly applied in meteorology to decompose the anomalous matrix of per capita GDP into spatial functions and time functions using the per capita GDP data in every county in Henan from 1998 to 2007 as measure index. The results show that the EOF method describes not only the global structure of regional economic disparities in the whole period,but also reflects the weights of some structure of regional economic disparities and its continuous change features with the time. Compared with the traditional methods,the EOF method has the obvious advantages.
