With the rapid urbanization in China, it is important for us to understand the evolution of cities. New researches about self-organizing city include Henderson's model, Krugman's model and Yang’s model,Portugli's self-organizing city,Allen’s city evolution model and NEG’s urban system evolution model. Through the introduction of self-organization theories and models about city,it is helpful to facilitate the reasonable and sustainable development of city.
