Bird-watching tour is one of the important form of ecotourism.Dongting Lake boasts a good foundation of Bird-watching tour with its rich bird resources,and its economic,social as well as environmental benefits are concerned by the academic community.The article analyzed the status quo and the existing problems of Bird-watching tour in Dongting Lake,and at the same time put up the development countermeasures of the Bird-watching tour by means of strengthening publicity of protection,scientific planning and comprehensive management.
