Being combined with the Chinese facts, the article expounds the application of major element analysis and poly class analysis in the population division. The author, in the first place, sets up a target system. In the second, he selects original data in use of major element analysis. In the third, he draws a plan for the population division in use of poly class analysis. In the last of it, the author makes a summary of the eight population division, which provides scientific basis for the planned and emphatic formulation of the Chinese population policy.
