Spatial Pattern Evolution of China Provincial Border Counties Economic Disparity
基于1992-2012年835个县域的人均GDP数据，从全国、东中西三大地带和省域三个尺度，分析了省际边界县域经济差异的时空演变特征，发现其经济差异大于省内差异，且空间集聚明显。
Provincial border counties are special regions of China. Their economy development has become a very significant issue to both academic enquiry and government policy. Based on many years' data of 835 counties at the index of per capita Gross Domestic Product from 1992 to 2012, with the aids of Standard Deviation and Variable Coefficient as well as exploratory spatial data analysis methods, the paper discussed temporal-spatial evolution characters of China provincial border counties economic disparity from three scales of province, belt and the country. Results show that:(1) at the scale of the country, the economic level of provincial border counties auto-correlated dramatically and strengthened at the three time point of 1992, 2002 and 2012. The pattern of spatial autocorrelation types was stable overall and agglomerated obviously.(2) at the scale of east, middle and west belt, the economic disparity of provincial counties inner belt was larger than provinces in the zone, and has the same development tendency. The economic disparity and evolution trend of provincial border counties among belts had the significant gradient. The economic disparity of provincial border counties was larger than economic differences of provinces among belts. The absolute economic disparity of provincial border counties in three belts expanded gradually, the relative disparity has the trend of expanding in the middle and west zone.(3) at the provincial scale, the economic disparity between provincial border counties and province have widened obviously. Absolute differences increased distinct periodically. Provinces should be divided into four categories according development tendency of provincial border counties economic disparity. The pattern evolution of spatial autocorrelation types reflected the economic diffusion and economic gradient transfer in China. In terms of formation mechanism of the economic differences, influential factors can be divided into two kinds,general and special. The former includes resource-environment, historical foundation, humanity elements and regional policies. The later are spatial neighborhood effect and provincial border location.
