Research on Spatial Distribution of Convention Industry in Beijing
研究了北京192家拥有会议设施的酒店的空间分布，发现集群模式，并用核密度估计法识别出三个不同级别的集群区域，分析了影响集群中心的主要因素。
Today more cities realized the importance of conventions industry through its great incentive gained.Beijing as the capital of China sets for the strategic goal to become the‘capital of Asian conventions and exhibitions’.This study investigated 192 hotels with convention facilities in Beijing.From the geographic perspective,the spatial distribution of convention facilities in Beijing was outlined on map with the Nearest Neighbor Distribution.Cluster pattern of spatial distribution of Beijing convention facilities was found.Then,the Kernel Density Estimation method was used to point out the cluster area;3 different levels of cluster area are found.Finally,the study analyzed and found the main factors that influenced the cluster center were market driven,business facilities,tourism resources and transportation hub.
