PLANS AND SUGGESTIONS FOR SPEEDING UP THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE CENTRAL AND WESTERN REGIONS THROUGH THE IMPLE-MENTATION OF THE DEVELOPMENT STRATEGY OF WESTERN REGIONS
文章提出三个战略概念以加快中西部地区发展，包括促进长江经济带和陇海兰新经济带开发、建设南昆经济带、新设两个经济特区，并介绍了超特区的政策模式。
The article put forward three strategic concepts on ways of developing the western regions and speeding up the development of the central and western regions. The three concepts are: To promote the development and opening up of the Yangtze River Economic Belt and Longhai (Lanzhou-Lianyungang)-Lanxin (Lanzhou-Xinjiang) Economic Belt; To build up Nankun (Nanning-Kunming) Economic Belt; To newly establish two special economic zones. The purpose is to make out the areas in the central and western regions for enjoying preferential policies and areas for economic growth. The author introduced the pattern of “super special economic zonesin the formulation of policies and he also put forward some relevant suggestions.
