The paper analyzes the development and problems of the great and small cities of China in the new century and discusses that the future trend should be integrated development for great city and strength-reserved for small city,which will harmonizes the development of the great,middle and small city to promote the urbanization of the cities of China in complete,harmonious and sustainable development.
