APPLICATION OF SUSTAINABILITY THEORY ON THE REGIONAL TOURISM DEVELOPMENT——TAKING SHUNDE CITY AS AN EXAMPLE
以顺德市为例，探讨了可持续发展理论在区域旅游发展中的应用，提出了抓住特色资源、开发独特产品、加强区域合作等对策，对区域旅游可持续发展研究有参考价值。
Based on the summarizing of sustainability theory, we discussed the application of sustainability theory on the regionaltourism development, taking Shunde City as an example. After understanding of regional tourism resources and analyzing of theproblems involved in the development, it is suggested that following procedures and steps are all needed for the sustainable devel-opment of regional tourism: seizing the special tourism resources; developing peculiar tourism products; relying on regionaltourism cooperation; exploiting regional tourism market; accelerating the development of city and increasing the regional environ-mental quality. Also, this paper gave some countermeasures for the sustainable tourism development of Shunde City, whichmaybe valuable for the research on sustainable development of regional tourism.
