Questions on the Periodic Theory of Urbanization
本文以美国为例，从个体和整体都市区的人口分布空间变化分析，指出城市化周期理论（城市化、郊区化、逆城市化、再城市化四阶段）在1990年前的研究视野局限导致理论构建错误。
According to the periodic theory of urbanization,the process of urbanization consists of four stages—(ental)urbanization, suburbanization,counter urbanization and re urbanization. Take U. S. as an example. According to the space change of population distribution,the analyses of individual metropolitan as well as overall metropolitan show that the four stages of periodic theory of urbanization untenable arguments. The periodic theory of urbanization carries its theoretical deduction on the basis of counter urbanization and re urbanization phenomena,but its research field of view is merely limited to the urbanization before 1990,which undoubtedly results in the mistake of theory building.
