Abstract

Enterprises migration is a common phenomenon in the evolution of regional economic development,extensive corporation relocation activities will reshape the spatial pattern of regional industry.In this paper,the rules for corporate relocation decision-making were proposed based on research on mechanism of migration decision-making,and a simulation model was developed by integrating agent-based approach with GIS.The simulation model was then applied to simulate the spatial phenomenon of enterprises in the Pearl River Delta migrating to the eastern,western and northern parts of Guangdong Province.The result shows that the counties and municipal districts near PRD are best choice to migrate to,while the northern part has the minimum potential,this is relatively similar to the actual situation.Using agentbased modeling approach to analyze the behavior of corporate migration decision-making can effectively compensate for the deficiencies of traditional research,and provide a new way for corporate migration modeling,and scientific references for government to both conduct corporate migration and industry transfer,and formulate industrial policy.
