PROGRESS AND ACHIEVEMENT OF INDUSTRIAL GEOGRAPHY IN THE PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC OF CHINA
回顾了1949年后中国工业地理学的三个发展阶段（1950-1979、1980-1997、1998-2009），总结了五大成就，包括实践导向、引进国外经验、理论提升、开拓企业地理与高科技产业、探索文化创意产业，并展望未来。
Firstly,this paper reviews the three principal stages,namely the stage of snaking growth(1950-1979),the stage of entirely growth(1980-1997) and the stage of thriving or booming growth(1998-2009) in China's industrial geography after the new republic founded in 1949.All of the research work in industrial geography have been dong with a fully concern on the national economic development.Even though,there are different features among them,especially,a diversification of the subject in the third stage after the booming of social market-economy in the country.Secondly,the paper releases the five major achievements,namely,progresses relied on the principle of practices led subject,introduction of foreign experiments with books and publications,improving and upgrading in industrial theory rooted upon the principle of gnosis comes from practices,opening new fields with the developments in corporate geography and high-tech industry,and exploring into cultural and creative industries.Lastly,it gives a general conclusion on the future development of industrial geography in China.
