Regional Spatial Planning Under the Concept of Ecological Civilization:Beilun as a Case

Ecological civilization is a lately emerging civilization following the agricultural civilization and industrial civilization.Rather than emphasizing economic construction as the core of development;the concept of ecological civilization construction reflects an important change in the understanding of development;i.e.;concerning not only the economic factor;but the social and ecological environment factors;The construction of ecological civilization needs to be transformed into tangible measures that will change the way our economy develops;and thus should become the basic principles underpinning the regional spatial planning in China.This paper introduces the origin and the implication of the concept of ecological civilization;and then describes the content and methods of regional spatial planning based on the concept of ecological civilization;taking Beilun Ningbo as an example.Firstly;Based on the analysis of Beilun development status and its spatial evolution process;this paper points out that there are a range of problems on the industrial restructuring;ecological environmental protection and the regional spatial patterns;and it is of necessity and emergency to conduct ecological civilization construction.Secondly,this paper studies on the overall spatial pattern of ecological civilization construction,the industrial spatial pattern,the ecological space and the f human settlement spatial patterns in Beilun.Finaly,some measures are put forwards to ensure the ecological construction of Beilun.
