Horizontal and Vertical Inequality of the Retirees' Income Distribution in China
利用1988、1995、2002和2007年四次城镇住户调查数据，研究中国退休人员养老金不平等问题，发现横向和纵向不平等均严重，养老金差距扩大推动了城镇收入不平等上升。
This paper uses data from four urban household surveys of 1988,1995,2002,and 2007(CHIPs data) to make an empirical study on the pension inequality of the retirees in China.The paper finds there are serious horizontal inequality and inequalities in the pension distribution.From the perspective of vertical distribution, the pension gap was getting widening gradually in the study period.The widening pension gap has been a driving factor for the rise of the urban income inequality.From the perspective of horizontal distribution,the pension gap between the senior retired officials and the other retirees,and the gap between the retirees from the government sector and who from enterprise are significantly large.
