A Comparison of Marine Economies in China and Canada From the Perspective of Marine Economic Geography
比较中加两国海洋资源、产业及区域经济差异，用标准差、变异系数和基尼系数分析海洋GDP和人均GDP差异，并用层次分析法评估各海洋区域综合实力。
Regional system of marine economy is the primary topic of regional system of man-sea relationship studies,and the core of marine geography.China and Canada are both countries with extensive sea territory,with long coastline.The sea is the lifeline of coastal areas,is the gateway to international market.The sea and marine resources play greatly important role in China and Canada’s economic development.This paper analyzes the conditions of marine resources and marine industries and its structure respectively in China and Canada,and the discrepancy of the two countries’regional marine economies as well.Standard deviation,coefficient of variation,and Gini coefficient are used to analyze the characteristics of discrepancy in the two countries’marine GDP(GOP) and per capita GOP.AHP model is employed to analyze the comprehensive strength of the two countries’individual marine areas.The discrepancy in Chinese and Canadian marine economies presents itself by comparison.
