Adaptive reuse——a renewable development method
针对经济调整和产业重组导致大量旧工业建筑闲置的问题，借鉴国内外经验，提出适应性再利用作为城市再开发的新方法，强调其在激活存量、优化用地、改善环境和促进文化复兴方面的价值。
It is the fact that many old manufacturing building like workshops and warehouses,former ports of traditional industries are left unused now because of adjusting economy and industry restructure.On the contrary,the numbers of cities are roaring up and the area convered by cities enlarging madly and much land gorged.Enlightened by the architectural and building history of cities and successful examples from foreign countries,the author advocated that a new method of re-development,adaptive reuse of former buildings,should be involved as soon as possible.Its value and incentives of developing body lies in revitalizing the deposit and optimizing the land use.It also benefits the improvement of environmental and quality of life.The most important is to protect local culture or help its renaissance.
