Theoretical Study on the Motivation of R&D Investment Internationalization of Transnational Firms

The RD investment of transnational firms(TNC) is not just driven by changing technology according to demands of host countries as before. In fact, what the TNCs really want through internationalization RD are also to get technological resource of host countries, external benefit of their technology diffusion, increase competitor's cost to enter the field of basic research. It's believed that these motivations are playing more and more important roles during globalized RD investment of TNCs.
