Upgrading of the “landless teams” in the converging area of the city and the countryside of Suzhou
研究了苏州自1997年起对城乡结合部“无地队”（城中村）进行基础设施升级改造的措施，分析了其社会与环境效果，并提出了可持续发展建议。
Considering the increasing “villages in the city”, locally called “landless teams”, in the area where the urban area merges with the rural area, Suzhou has taken active measures to improve and upgrade the infrastructures since 1997 and has achieved good social and environmental effects. As a direct participator, after detailed research and analysis, the author puts forward approaches and suggestions on sustainble development of the “villages in the city” and its further upgrading.
