On the Spatial Characters of Intensive Urban Land Use and Its Influencing Factors on Provincial Level in China
基于1996-2004年土地利用变化数据，分析了中国省域城市土地集约利用的空间差异及其影响因素，发现经济可持续能力显著提升而人口可持续能力变化不大，区域经济发展、高投资强度和第二产业发展能提高土地利用效率。
This paper specifically focus on China's special difference of intensive urban land use and its influencing factors in China mainly based on land use change data 1996-2004. With the index of population sustainable capability (PSC) and economy sustainable capability (ESC) of urban land, the difference characters and its influential factors on provincial level are discussed in the paper. The authors argue that the ESC of urban land in China was evidently improved from 1996 to 2004 while the PSC rarely changed in this period. The quantitative analysis indicate that the level of regional economic development, high level of intensive in vest, and the development of secondary industry could improve land use efficiently.
