FOREIGN GROUP INVESTMENT, EXPORT-ORIENTED PRODUCTION LINKAGE AND LOCAL ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT: A CASE STUDY OF KUNSHAN CITY
以昆山为例，用定性和定量方法研究外资集团投资、出口导向型生产联系与地方经济发展的关系，发现外资投资通过生产联系影响地方经济，对政策制定者有启示。
Taking Kunshan as an example, this article examines the relationship among foreign group investment, export-oriented production linkage and local economic development with qualitative and quantitative methods. Employing granger causal examination and comparison between two linear regression models, this article finds out that to some extent foreign group investment is the cause of local export-oriented production linkage, and the former affects local economic development through the latter. Its implication for policy makers is that if local government cannot build an effective channel between foreign group investment and local firms, foreign group investment will not able to promote local economic development effectively.
