A MECHANISM ANALYSIS ON THE FLOW BEHAVIOR OF CHINESE INBOUND TOURISTS——ON THE POPULAR DESTINATION CITY OF XI’AN
以西安入境游客为例，运用因子分析、方差分析和相关分析，从推拉理论视角考察游客流动的机制，识别出四个推力因子域和两个拉力因子域，并分析其与社会人口变量的关系及相互关联，对旅游目的地管理者和研究者有参考价值。
The mechanism of tourist flow is the important research field of tourism geography and tourist behavior.The Push-pull Theory is an effective way which can explain the reasons for the flow of tourists.Taking inbound tourists to Xi'an as example,examine the mechanism of tourist flow with factor analysis,ANOVA and Pearson correlation analysis in the Push-pull theory perspective.The paper found that: first,identified four push factor domains and two pull factor domains;Second,detected the impact of the push and pull factors with different social-demographic variables;Third,examined the interrelationships among the push and pull factor domains.The study results hold useful implications for the managers of travel destinations and researchers interested in studying how push and pull factors impact tourist and visitor behavior.
