Research on Regional Transfer Characteristics and Clustering of Major Industries in Chinese Manufacturing Industry: An Empirical Analysis Based on Data of 2001 and 2009
基于2001和2009年工业企业数据，分析中国制造业转移特征：劳动和资本密集型产业从东向西转移，技术密集型产业仍集聚东部，整体呈梯度转移趋势。
The transfer from Eastern China to Chinese inland and surrounding countries, which is likely to become the fourth wave of global industrial transfer, is just unfolding, and the manufacturing industry is the main body in this process. According to Chinese Industrial enterprise database, this paper compared the share changes of Chinese manufacturing industry in 2001 and 2009 on different scales, and the conclusions are as followed: 1)the labor and capitalintensive industries were the main body of the transfer stream; 2) the transfer path is East-to-West, especially the laborand capital- intensive industries followed the Developed- to- Developing direction, which represented the decentralizing;on the other hand, technology-intensive industries follow the opposite path and still agglomerating; 3)the East-to-West is the main path of the sub- sectors of Chinese manufacturing transfer. All in all, the current transfer trend in Chinese manufacturing is from advanced areas to developing areas as the gradient declines. Essentially, the transferring process is decentralization and equalization under the spatial view, which involves multiple scales.
