THE TARGETS OF MAJOR FUNCTION REGIONALIZATION AND THE TRANSFERENCE AND URBANIZATION OF RURAL POPULATION

The paper holds that the national major function regionalization to be implemented is an important proposition,which is the population allocation of China and the improvement of the rural population urbanization (short for RPU),then point out that,to realize the targets of major function regionalization,the rural population need to be separated from agriculture and countryside.By investigating the geographic environment of the vast rural areas of China,we find that there are neither qualifications to develop rural small towns,nor conditions to develop large-scale urbanization and industrialization,in order to realize RPU,it is necessary to dispose major development region in other area and to carry out large-span migration of rural population to move to urban region.Policy goals of improving RPU have been put out.
