With the rapid sprawl of Urbanization,more and more Chinese cities are suffering from the plight ofsurrounding by trashes.Landfills,which used to be located in suburban areas,now are getting closer to city edge.They have even affected people's daily lives.As a special type of brownfields,the ecological structure and function of landfills are severely degraded.Through the analysis of landfills' ecological characteristics,this paper summarizes different methods and sustainable approaches during the process of ecological regeneration.The author aims to find out useful design principles via a serious of case studies as well.Landscape architecture is one of the most significant mediums to help city breakthrough the surrounding of trashes.
