Abstract

Based on the 22 tourist cities panel data empirical analysis from 2005 to 2009, this article investigates the growth mode in tourism industry under the background of modern service- oriented transformation in tourism industry.The study found that the elements of capital, technological progress, and efficiency have a significant impact on China's growth in tourism industry, but the labor force, system innovation, market scale and infrastructure and other elements are not significant. This indicates that China's tourism industry has begun to appear of modern service- oriented transformation effect, but in terms of market reform, personnel quality promotion, enterprise technology innovation and other aspects also need to be further strengthened.
