THE EVOLUTION OF TOKYO AS A WORLD CITY AND ITS IMPLICATIONS FOR BEIJING
分析了东京从城堡到国家政治中心再到经济中心的演变过程，提炼出四条推论，并对比北京的优势与劣势，为北京建设世界城市提出四条建议。
This paper begins with an analysis of the evolution of Tokyo as a city, from a castle to a national political center, then a national political economic center, and finally a economic center. Four inferences are drawn from the analysis. Compared with Tokyo and other Chinese cities, Beijing has its own advantages and disadvantages for the pursuing of city status. Above that, four suggestions are put forward for Beijing for its world city dream.
