AN ANALYSIS ON THE INFLUENCE OF INTERNATIONAL TRADE FOR ECONOMIC GROWTH:THEORY AND EVIDENCES OF EMPIRICAL MODEL

The international trade theory seeks to explain why international trade takes place and explores the distribution of gains from trade among countries. And there is a close connection between international trade and economic growth. Both theoretical analysis and empirical evidences show that one country's foreign trade volume plays an important role in its economic growth and the change of the country's foreign trade is often the key factor determining its economic growth trend. This paper,providing empirical tests of the relation between foreign trade and economic growth in China during the last ten years, based on the theory and empirical model, aims to examine and reveal the inner mechanism of promotion of the economic growth by the foreign trade.
