分析了茂名水东湾度假区兴衰的原因，认为竞争优势变化导致其兴衰，重构竞争优势是度假区发展战略重构的核心，并提出了具体策略。
Basing on a reason analysis on the rise and fall of Shuidong bay resort in Maoming, this paper considers that the changes of a coastal resort competitive advantage cause its rise and fall, and restructuring competitive advantage of a coastal resort is a core of restructuring its development strategies. With this analysis the paper has brought forward some material strategies and actions for restructuring coastal tourism in Maoming.
