Comparative advantage theory is an important part of international labour division and trade theory.However,wether the development of a country is appropriate to take comparative advantage theory as the guide is controversial.Some scholars with vision point that the controversy is part from the researchers' obscure understanding of comparative advantage.Based on the relationship among comparative advantage,international labour division and development strategy as logical start-point,the paper combs the development of comparative advantage theory from four aspects,including discriminating the concept and connotation of comparative advantage,sorting out the sequence of comparative advantage development,evaluating the suitability of comparative advantage as development strategy and elaborating the research thoughts of dynamic comparative advantage.And the paper tries to promote the pertinently and directionally of comparative advantage research in future.
