Migration flow is an important feature of urbanization process, and it should be brought back in the center of urbanization analysis. The irrational flow will bring both city and countryside into trouble, what we usually call Urban Problem, and Rural Problem.China faces much more serious problem with huge population scale and more constraints, such as limits from Household Registration System and Land System. We reinterpret the thoughts on urbanization and city planing from Fei and Howard, finding some common points that they were: (1) Stressing the importance of migration flow in the process of urbanization,(2) Exploring rational ways for migration flows, and (3) Taking the social city as the ultimate goal of urbanization.
