The economic model of performance and non-core business shows that the non-core business has a significant positive impact on performance of listed companies.This effect has differences among individuals,and has greater volatility because of different period.The conclusion indicates that the gap of operating environment and business performance is larger between seed industry and non-agricultural listed companies.Our government and concerned departments should take effective measures to provide good business environment and support system,making listed companies attach importance to the main business to ensure the seed industry and food security.
