REGIONAL INTEGRATION OF MAINLAND CHINA AND HONG KONG:CEPA AND ITS IMPLICATIONS FOR CROSS-STRAITS ECONOMIC COOPERATION
研究比较了大陆（尤其是珠三角）与香港、大陆与台湾之间的跨境区域经济一体化进程、程度和特征，指出从市场驱动到制度驱动的机制转变，特别是2003年CEPA对两岸未来经济关系具有示范意义。
Globalization and regional integration are the two coexisting and dialectic processes. This paper aims to investigate and compare the process, extent and characteristics of the cross-border regional economic integration between the Mainland, especially the Pearl River Delta and Hong Kong, and that between the Mainland and Taiwan. It is argued that the mechanism transformation from spontaneous market-driven to institution-based economic integration, particularly the Closer Economic Partnership Arrangement (CEPA) established between the Mainland and Hong Kong in 2003 has fundamental demonstration implications for the future economic relationship between the Mainland and Taiwan.
