Gender and European Economic Policy: A Survey of the Views of European Economists on Contemporary Economic Policy
调查欧盟大学中男女经济学家对核心经济原则和当代政策问题的看法,发现存在显著性别差异,支持政策制定中性别多样性的重要性。
Summary In this study, we survey male and female economists located at universities in the European Union to determine if there are gender differences in views on core economic principles and a wide variety of contemporary policy issues. Controlling for country of residence, degree vintage, and location of Ph.D. earned, we find statistically significant differences in views of male and female economists in all of the topic areas examined. These results lend support to the notion that gender diversity in policy‐making circles may be an important aspect in broadening the menu of public policy choices.
