Abstract

With the deepening of China's urbanization process, advanced fashion business has been an important part of urban economy, which injects new meaning to the urban economy and pays more and more academic attention.Contracted to the mature Western market, the emerging Chinese advanced fashion business has its own characteristic.Hence, based on the data including location of 412 stores of 11 brands and 40 factors which represent cities' development, the study attempts to put forward the concept ofurban fashion degreeto measure the market potential from the perspective of the regional distribution. To make the research more meaningful, the analysis in the paper is divided into 3 levels: First, research the distribution network of urban fashion degree by using GIS spatial model and the method of cluster analysis, and the paper classifies all cities to 5 categories; second, analyze the correlation between the number of stores and the cities' development factors, then find out the important factors; third, discuss the market potential of advanced fashion goods by establishing equation, and then analyze the internal mechanism. Finally, the conclusion is follow:①There are 5fashion circlesin China at present since the advanced fashion goods settles in cities with gathering effect.②The development of tertiary industry has an important influence on the distribution of stores.③The advanced fashion business is still in a emerging stage in China, and the middle area of China will be a potential market with huge demand in the future.
