The Comparison of Intercounty Economic Development Inequality and Polarization in Jiangsu Province
使用差异系数和极化指数模型，比较1994-2010年江苏省县域经济发展差异与极化的演变，发现生产活动差异大于生活水平，且极化与差异趋势一致，苏北地区发展需加速。
The paper makes a quantitative comparison between the differences of county economic development and the evolution process of polarization in Jiangsu province from 1994 to 2010 with the mathematical model of difference coefficient and polarization index.We use counties as basic units for study and select the value of per capita GDP,per capita gross industrial output,net income per capita and average salary from the product and life.The results are shown as below:firstly,the difference of inter-county economic development mainly manifests that the difference of production activities is greater than living standard.The former is due to the expansion of industrial production,which is increasingly concentrated.The inter-county economic development inequality has basically the same trend with its polarization and it also shows that the polarization of production activities is greater than living standard,which has theStype trend of narrow-expand–narrow.That is to say the inter-county economic polarization strengthens with the expansion of the inter-county economic difference,which is consistent with regional economic polarization of the general laws of evolution.Secondly,the differences and polarization in space is not alike between southern Jiangsu,central Jiangsu and northern Jiangsu and the difference of production activities is also greater than living standard.In addition,the polarization among the three regions also demonstrates an increasing trend.With regard to do this,we must accelerate the development of prefectural region economy of northern Jiangsu,and then the situation of the regional economic polarization in Jiangsu province can be fundamentally weakened.The evolution state of difference and polarization in both production and life of Jiangsu province is in line with the history of world's economic development trend.All in all,with the further deepening of our economic development,production activity will be increasingly concentrated and living standard appears the trend of convergence after differentiation,which also indicates that the unbalanced economic growth and harmonious development can go hand in hand and complement each other.
