Understanding how and when personal values foster entrepreneurial behavior: A humane perspective
基于2010年和2019年593人的数据,研究了人道导向的个人价值观(如保护与自我超越)如何通过创业意图影响自我雇佣决策,并发现机会型创业会增强这一效应。
This study aims to examine the role of entrepreneurial inten- \ntions and motivations in the interplay between humane- \noriented personal values and entrepreneurial behavior. Using \ndata from 593 individuals in 2010 and 2019, we uncover how \nand when humane-oriented personal values (conservation and \nself-transcendence) lead to self-employment. Results suggest \nthat entrepreneurial intentions function as a mechanism that \ntriggers self-employment decisions for individuals with humane- \noriented personal values and that this effect is stronger when \nthey engage in opportunity-based entrepreneurship. Finally, we \ndiscuss the implications of these findings for the literature on \npersonal values and the intention-action link.
