The increasing use of OR models and frameworks for evaluating policy alternatives and conducting impact studies is a welcome sign of the convergence of Operations Research/Operations Management (OR/OM) research, data analytics, and policy studies. This special issue aims to recognize and publish high-quality and impactful research—data-driven, empirical, and theoretical models—related to operations research/operations management focused on economic development.
