A Class of Tests for Equality of Ordered Means

Classical combination methods are used to develop tests for equality of order-constrained means from k normal populations with known variance σ2. The procedures are investigated analytically and empirically as in D. J. Bartholomew's classical study of the likelihood ratio tests for these problems. The operationally simple new procedures compare reasonably with the likelihood ratio procedure in terms of power.
