Editor's Introduction

The Journal of Financial Econometrics has seen a remarkable growth since its creation more than a decade ago. This is largely due to the tireless efforts of the founding editors, Rene Garcia and Eric Renault. During the 5th Annual Meetings of SoFiE both were honored during a Gala dinner ceremony. It was decided that the journal would benefit from a renewal of its editorial team. The journal will now have five editors, Torben Andersen and George Tauchen will continue to serve and two new editors join the board, namely Federico Bandi and Andrew Patton. Finally, I will serve for three years as Editor-in-Chief. At the same time, we appointed several new Associate Editors whom I would like to welcome all of them to the board. They are Elena Andreou, Luca Benzoni, Nick Bollen, Mike Chernov, Nikolaus Hautsch, Bryan Kelly, Asger Lunde, Viktor Todorov, and Fabio Trojani. Some of the Associate Editors are leaving the journal and I would like to take this opportunity to thank them for their many years of service. I am also grateful to all those who remain on the board.
