This article presents the author's comments and opinions on the employment opportunities for people with disabilities under the Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990. He presents an examination of the most common attitudes toward people with disabilities and discusses how the act is essentially trying to change the public's attitude towards the disabled. He notes that the differently abled can probably expect to face the same occupational mobility obstacles as women and minorities.
