A New Class of Change-Over Designs for Factorial Experiments

Fletcher & John (1985) introduced the concept of factorial structure for change-over designs. They showed that a large and flexible class of designs possess this desirable property. Details of the construction and selection of these designs is given here. In particular, it is shown that canonical efficiency factors can be defined which greatly simplify the comparison of designs within this class. An algorithm for selecting designs is described, and a table of the resulting designs presented for suitable sizes of experiment.
