Some Series Constructions for Minimal Size Equineighboured Balanced Incomplete Block Designs with Nested Rows and Columns

Three infinite series for minimal size equineighboured balanced incomplete block designs with nested rows and columns are constructed. For many parameter combinations, the proposed equineighboured designs do not require more replicates and blocks than ordinary balanced incomplete block designs with nested rows and columns, in the absence of neighbour properties, available in the literature. The designs can also be used as nested balanced incomplete block designs, taking either the rows or the columns as subblocks, with neighbour balance at all levels within the subblocks.
