Editors' Note: Streamlining the Revise and Resubmit Process at AMJ

The article discusses the process in which authors revise and resubmit their works to the “Academy of Management Journal” and how it is working on simplifying the process. Many are concerned that authors try to respond to all of a reviewer's comments and, thus, the overall quality of the article drops. Because of this, the journal will no longer ask authors to respond to every comment they receive, but rather spend more time revising their manuscripts so that it becomes a more cohesive work. There must be communication between reviewers, editors, and authors, as well, so that each party understands what components are most crucial to a quality issue.
