In this section of the review, Oxford Economic Forecasting provides an analysis of the current economic climate in the UK and abroad as well as setting out the main features of its latest forecast. In Section II the UK forecast up to 1988 is described. In Section III, following the theme of this issue, we analyse the effects of changes in trend productivity growth on the UK economy.
